My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Just a week or so ago, this sweet boy was a stray!Since then, he has had two surgeries; a routine neuter and entropian surgery, fixing his eyelids from rolling inward. He is doing great and you can hardly tell he just had surgery. Bogey has settled into his foster home quite smoothly and is recovering like a champ and everyone has fallen in love with him in the process.

At eighty pounds this one year old Newfoundland/Golden Retriever mix, is all skin and bone. So you can imagine he cannot get enough of this food stuff, as long as you sit there with him as he chows down. Throw fish oil supplements on top of that for his coat and he is in heaven! Talk about a handsome dude.

His favorite things in his new life are: running, car rides, and being with you. On his last outting up to Red Feather, Bogey couldn't get enough of those open fields! His foster dad had to stop him so his stitches wouldn't open from all that running.

Did you say C-A-R? You better watch it if you did, because Bogey will jump at every opportunity to jump in that four wheel vehicle of yours to accompany you for a ride. He cannot get enough of looking out those windows and wagging that tail of his. But don't worry - he will remind you he is there by giving you a bark every now and then.

If you are looking for a love bug who thinks you are the greatest thing in the world - then look no further as you have found your man! Bogey is a gentle giant as he is just full of unlimited kisses, paw taps and head nudges. Cuddling by you while you unwind after a day's work couldn't seem more appealing to this boy. He is that typical velcro golden, but even better with a touch of Newfoundland! Sometimes, this sweet boy forgets his size by attempting to be your lap dog. Asking him to get down often results in some play biting as he tells you "But I just want to play!" And play he does, with a tug-of-war toy when you redirect him and off he goes with his canine friends, big or small!

Kids? Not a problem as long as they don't mind receiving a kiss every now and then from this big boy. Now wouldn't you want to take home this gentle giant?
