Boa's Story...
Boa. 9-12 month Russian Blue mix
Boa is a big boy with long lanky body and tail. He really does look
like a boa wrapped around his foster daddy's arm, doesn't he? This
guy is up for anything. Play time, love time, mellow time. As best we
can tell he's getting along just fine in his foster home where there
are other cats as well as very active teenagers. Boa is currently
fostered in Lincoln.. We would call him a purebred, except that his eyes
aren't the intense green we need to see for this breed. They are
green in one light, but a gold tone in a different light. Otherwise,
he's got the lovely head shape, body style and that silver sheen to
his blue fur that we expect in the Russian Blue. We do know that
there were numberous Blue's given up in this area at one time, so he
may be a very strong mix, or a pet quality purebred.
This Cat has been Courtsey Posted for another rescue and is not a part of the Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster system.
Please check with the rescue for their adoption policies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boa, a Davis Russian Blue cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Russian Blue for sale in Davis, or seeking a Russian Blue cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Russian Blue breeders who help with Russian Blue rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
