Tango's Story...
Meet Tango! Currently around 30 pounds he is a beauty. Although his breed is not for certain, he probably is mixed with many breeds, and breed is a total guess, one thing for sure is that he is cute! cute! cute! He is currently being fostered by a family in Mt. Greenwood/Chicago with his brother, Cash. He is approximately 4 months old. He is scheduled to be neutered on September 27th as well as have his microchip inserted. He is available for adoption following this procedure, but you can submit an application now and meet him. Tank loves playing in the yard and returning affection to everyone around him! He is good with other dogs, kitties, and children. Tango is only a puppy and is doing really well on his house training, but he is a pup and you will have to take him outside frequently.

Tango came to Angels on Wheels with his brother, Cash, from a high kill shelter in Harlan, Kentucky and they are being fostered together in a home around children, other dogs and kitties. Once we saw his face, we new we had to rescue him. He is very, loving, and full of kisses. He would love for someone to adopt him to make him part of their family forever. Looking at his adorable face and seeing his personality, it's hard to imagine how such a wonderful dog could end up alone and unwanted on death row. Lucky for him, we saw his face, knew his loving potential and saved him so she could meet a wonderful family deserving of his love. He would be the perfect pet to add to any family.

If you want to meet you, you will need to go to www.angelsonwheels.org to complete the on-line application. If your applications is a good match, you would go to the foster mom's home to meet him. Please be patient with the process. Angels On Wheels Animal rescue is an all volunteer rescue with jobs and families trying to save some lives. It can take a few days to process applications.

The adoption fee of $250 includes the neuter/spaying, microchipped, rabies vaccinated, three puppy vaccinations for Distemper-Adenovirus-Parainfluenza-Parvo, dewormed with panacur, treated with Revolution or Front-Line Plus, along with any other medical needed. You will also receive a free office visit to Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Wheaton Animal Hospital, or Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park a training dvd, and tons of coupons for Petco.

Please note that we are a foster based rescue and do not have a facility, which means all of our animals are cared for in homes of wonderful people who have volunteered their time to help save them.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals and wanting to give them a wonderful home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tango, a Naperville Labrador Retriever/Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Collie for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Collie puppy from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
