My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Jerico is a live wire!. Released from a breeder, he is quickly making up for lost time, and loves living in a real home. In particular, he has discovered paper--and is happy to chew, shred, or otherwise distribute it all over. But when you catch him, he is all innocence--who me?? With his amber eyes, and rare chocolate/liver and white coloring, he is very handsome. He may not be big, but Jerico is also all boy. Loves to run and explore in the fenced in yard, and we think he will need that arrangement in his new home. He has also learned to jump in laps, and rather enjoys sleeping on the sofa. Jerico gets along well with other dogs, and will need a home with a fur companion to play with and show him the ropes. He is crate trained, and doing well on his house training. All Jerico needs now is a nice new family to enjoy life with him.

Jerico weighs 11 lbs (TOY size) and is chocolate/white in color and 2 years young and active. Has cropped ears and docked tail. Jericho is being fostered by Annette and family in Lowell MI area. Jericho 's adoption fee is $250 and it includes a written veterinary exam, Neuter, you receive prepaid Microchip registration. PLUS an annual booster shot, rabies shot and tag, heartworm test and passed, fecal and preventative deworming. In season our rescues are on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. You also receive a trial limited 30 day pet insurance from a third party.

We send you home with a copy of all the vet work, dog training booklet, adoption paperwork and tips. Our Foster families notes explaining our rescue dogs schedule, habits, socialization skills.

We do not ship or transport our dogs you must drive to the foster home to meet the dog. You must fill out our on line application to schedule a meet and great with the foster dog. We do not require a fenced yard on all of our dogs, it is on a as needed basis. HOWEVER if you don't have a fenced yard we do require you to purchase an exercise pen (>$60 on internet) so that the dog can be safe when outside; SMALL DOGS CAN NOT BE TIED OUT.

Not all our dogs are totally house trained at the time of adoption. We crate train them, potty pad train them and use exercise pens and work on potty skills. Dogs learn quickly and are pretty far along.

We are not a shelter our dogs are fostered in private homes.

Please visit our website www.ronsrescuedrascals.org to learn more about our adoption procedures and policies, submit an adoption application, meet our volunteers and benefit from the 8+ years of rescue experience of our all-volunteer, non-profit rescue.
