My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WOW he is handsome! Beautiful black, loving, friendly, playful, loves chewies. He came from a breeder closing down their kennels. He is young and mostly still puppy. he is good with other dogs, and he just arrived so we will need to update you after his foster mom evaluates him. He weighs 14 lbs and is 2 years young. He is very gentle all the volunteers fell in love with him at lst sight. He is smart and learned how to come down the stairs in one attempt, he never lived in a home so this is new to him and he will need to learn house skills. He did well on his potty skill so far and didn't pottyin his kennel. We will update you but send your application now and speak with the foster mom.

Most of our rescues lived with another pet and would like a playmate. He weighs 14 lbs and is Black in color and 2 years young and active. Has cropped ears and docked tail. is being fostered by Maria and family in Ashtabula, OH area. mcGuffy's adoption fee is $295 and it includes a written veterinary exam, Neuter, In addition you receive prepaid Microchip registeration. PLUS an annual booster shot, rabies shot and tag, heartworm test and passed, fecal and preventative deworming. In season our rescues are on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. You also receive a trial limited 30 day pet insurance from a third party.

We send you home with a copy of all the vet work, dog training booklet, adoption paperwork and tips. Our Foster families notes explaining our rescue dogs schedule, habits, socialization skills.

We do not ship or transport our dogs you must drive to the foster home to meet the dog. You must fill out our on line application to schedule a meet and great with the foster dog. We do not require a fenced yard on all of our dogs, it is on a as needed basis. HOWEVER if you don't have a fenced yard we do require you to purchase an exercise pen (>$60 on internet) so that the dog can be safe when outside; SMALL DOGS CAN NOT BE TIED OUT.

Not all our dogs are totally house trained at the time of adoption. We crate train them, potty pad train them and use exercise pens and work on potty skills. Dogs learn quickly and are pretty far along.

We are not a shelter our dogs are fostered in private homes.

Please visit our website www.ronsrescuedrascals.org to learn more about our adoption procedures and policies, submit an adoption application, meet our volunteers and benefit from the 8+ years of rescue experience of our all-volunteer, non-profit rescue.
