Christofur is an adorable pure-bred Shih Tzu male. He's about 2.5 years old & 15-16 lbs. He's good with everyone - 2 & 4 leggers. He was raised with another male Shih Tzu & lived with a family who had 3 children. Christofur is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, professionally groomed, treated for fleas/ticks, & just had a dental done by our vet. He's typical of his breed - loving, sweet, smart, super easy-going, has an excellent temperament, & is devoted to his humans. He's good with other dogs but doesn't require another K9 friend. This very mellow guy loves to hang out with his people & also loves to be held in your arms like a baby. He enjoys walking around the house with his plush, squeaky toys in his mouth or his tennis ball. He's a great match for seniors, adults or families with children (7 years old but we will consider younger children on a case-by-case basis). Children must have small dog experience & know how to properly treat them. He prefers being in the house so a condo or townhome is fine for him. He needs a home where someone is there at least 1/2 the time during waking hours. He doesn't have separation anxiety, he's just used to living in a home where someone is there most of the time & he loves to hang out with his humans. Shih Tzus are hypo-allergenic & are recommended for people with allergies. This is another fabulous dog breed. If you're unfamiliar with Shih Tzus, we recommend reading about them online. They're one of the most popular dogs in America & are delightful companions. This precious pooch has a distinctively proud carriage with his head well up and tail curved over the back. Cherished by Chinese royals as prized house pets for over a thousand years, the Shih Tzu was the house pet for most of the Ming Dynasty. It was discovered by soldiers in England during World War II.
