Mufasa's Story...
FAB FIVE
Rafiki, Sarabi, Simba, Nala & Mufasa-Born December 2011, GSD & Golden Retriever mix, spayed & neutered, rabies vaccinated with tags/certificates….3 males, 2 females
We took on the challenge of re-homing these older pups, which came from a very difficult situation, to say the least. At one time, there were 19 dogs on this property. They each were extremely underweight, full of fleas so bad there was hair loss, extreme in a couple of them & barely socialized. Under care from the staff at PAWS, they have been de-wormed, fed large quantities of food & have begun gaining weight, fleas gotten rid of with their coats growing back in soft & shiny and with lots of love, time spent & patience, they are coming around & we believe they are going to be wonderful companions! It has taken us several weeks to get them to the place where they are ready to go into new homes. They each have their own distinct personality & are full of love to give. With continued love & patience, good food & care, they will be able to reach their full potential, becoming absolutely beautiful dogs you will be proud to have as a part of your family.
*Mufasa is the largest of the bunch & doesn't realize or appreciate his size when wanting to cuddle! He has come around nicely, gladly giving kisses & loves to play! He is one sweet, very big boy! He is filling out nicely, coat is shinier each day, & is going to make a wonderful companion!*

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mufasa, a Palestine German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever for sale in Palestine, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Palestine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palestine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palestine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palestine paves the way for another one to be saved.
