*Tassie (& Trickey)'s Story...
*COURTESY LISTING. These pets are NOT in foster care with Leftover Pets. Please refer to the contact info BELOW for more info on these pets.

I have a bonded pair of pekes. Male white grandfather was from china. He is 7 and neutered. Loves to be held like a baby and will be snoring away in about 2 minutes. Female spayed Tassie is around 6. Doesn’t like to be held so much but will lay on the couch with you and loves her belly rubbed. She loves feet and will help you put on your shoes. They were in a home with 2 older women from puppies. Their mom went into a nursing home. So they are not used to small children. They need a quieter house with not a lot of steps either. Tassie had back surg a couple years ago and has had no problems. Trickey does seem to get sore we have a lot of steps and once in awhile he seems a little sore but doesn’t complain. They were pee pad trained but do go out the dog door here, even though they have to be encouraged to do so. They do like sunbathing. They are very sweet loving dogs that just need a quieter home. They sleep in their individual cages and are happy to be there. We love them and my 11 yr old lays on the floor with them and rubs their belly daily. If you can give them a quiet forever home, please contact Connie MUST be adopted together. $300 fee for the pair

Why Adoption is a Great Option

*Tassie (& Trickey), a Winder Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Winder, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Winder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winder paves the way for another one to be saved.
