Paloma's Story...
I'm Paloma. When people first see me, sometimes they aren't sure what to do. In my former life, someone docked my ears to make me look tough. Have you ever heard, "Don't judge a book by its cover?". Well, that's me. I may look like a fighter, but I am the sweetest dog you'll ever meet.
I am always so excited to see my Westside friends when they come to visit me and take me to adoption events. They call me "Paloma the pig", because I wiggle like crazy when I'm happy. One of our awesome volunteers is fostering me and I play with her kids - I love snuggling with them on the couch after they take me outside. I even like their cat!!
I'm ready to leave my old life behind and start anew with a family who can see just how golden I am inside. I am a strong girl and would greatly benefit from a confident handler and some training lessons, but I am eager to please. If you would like to meet me (and see my wiggles in person!), please contact Westside Rescue ( and we'll set it up!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paloma, a Fresno Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer for sale in Fresno, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Fresno.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fresno already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fresno breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fresno paves the way for another one to be saved.
