Wubba's Story...
Hi! My name is Wubba and I am brand new to the Pet Rescue Center. I came from the Downey Shelter in Los Angeles where I was a favorite of staff and volunteers. I received a PERFECT score on my temperament test. I'm about 10 months old and weigh 55 pounds. Everyone says I look like part Basset Hound, but who knows. I love all people, kids, cats and especially other dogs! I also love riding in the car, getting baths, snuggling with you and giving kisses. I walk great on leash already and am a very smart doggie. You need to come meet me in person, you'll definitely fall in love with me.
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email us at to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wubba, a Mission Viejo Basset Hound/American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Mission Viejo, or seeking a Basset Hound/American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Mission Viejo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission Viejo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission Viejo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Basset Hound/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission Viejo paves the way for another one to be saved.
