Meow! My name is Kyia
I am already spayed, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with cats.
Kyia and her sister, Ember, were rescued about 6 months ago. Their previous owner had to give them up and unfortunately nobody in the family could take them. Kyia is a sweet, happy, healthy little girl that would do best in a quiet home without children. She is very shy and it is going to take a nice, patient person to let her warm up. She will need time. As you can see, she is missing her left eye. It doesn't slow her down at all. She would love to find a home just like the rest of the Happy Strays kitties. She might not look like the rest of them, but she still deserves a forever home. She's about 1.5 years old. If you would like more information or would like to meet this special needs little torbie girl, please contact her foster mom, Jan, at Jan@happystrays.org.
We bring an assortment of cats and kittens to petco in La Canada and Santa Clarita every Saturday from 11-3:30. If you would like to meet Kyia or any other Happy Strays kitty, please let the foster know by Friday evening so that we can make sure the kitty is there for you Saturday.
Interested in adopting a Happy Strays Rescue kitty? Great! The first step is to complete an adoption application here: http://jotform.us/form/30087750081147 and a volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.

Rescue Group Info...
Happy Strays Rescue is a non-profit rescue organization that cares for stray, abandoned and orphaned cats and kittens. Our rescues are often just babies who require bottlefeeding and hand rearing. Our cats and kittens are cared for in a network of wonderful foster homes while they wait for adoption.
We currently have many many cats and kittens ready for adoption! Because we do not have a shelter and our cats reside in foster homes they are only available to be seen at our adoption Saturdays. If there is a cat you would like to meet, please let us know so that we can make sure the kitty is at our next evemt.
Our cats are available for adoption every Saturday from 11 am-3:30 pm at the PETCOs in La Canada and Santa Clarita. Please see our website for details and directions.
Our fees are $100 and include spay/neuter, testing for Felv/FIV and all vaccinations. We have an adoption questionaire and contract to be signed. We do not allow de-clawing, but we often rescue declawed cats and have them available for adoption. If the adoption is not a good fit for the cat or family, pets may always be returned to us.
