Katydid's Story...
Katydid

Est. DOB: February 18, 2012
Description: DSH Black and white
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Katydid is a super soft and sweet girl. She likes to give lots of kitty kisses and enjoys snuggles.

She’s also a playful girl and enjoys toys and a good game of chase.

She’s been fostered in homes with older children, large dogs and medium sized dogs and also gets along well with other kitties.

She’s a lap cat who likes lots of attention and will happily crawl up on you when you’re doing something silly like using a computer or reading a book instead of petting her.

Katydid was rescued from a high kill shelter as a kitten and was a shy girl until Alley Cats and Angels volunteers worked with her to turn her into the soft and loving girl she is today!

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katydid, a Apex Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Apex, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
