Blaine's Story...
Blaine has one of the most striking coats ever seen in a cocker and his gorgeous amber eyes will melt you. He is the whole package - looks and personality. He came in so matted (our volunteer cut off a pound of mats) that we couldn't tell his coloring. It took a while but we think he is a buff and white sable, mostly sable. Blaine is a good natured guy but quite rambunctious. At maybe 18 months of age, he will give you years of love. Blaine is crate trained and seems house broken.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blaine, a Houston Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Houston, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
