Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cindy is a 2 1/2 year old little poodle mix--and very smart.
She is a sweet girl that likes to spend her time out discovering the world. She really enjoys walking; she is a polite walker and does not pull on the leash walking side by side with her person. Meeting other dogs and people is fine but she likes them to approach her respectfully and not too fast. When frightened or startled she does have a very vocal way to communicate her discomfort. She likes her quite time and, because of her sensitivity, she likes to come to her foster mom when she is ready for loving which is often but on her terms
When Cindy learns to trust the people in her family she is just a loving, sweet girl. She's probably not going to ever be the life of the party out in public, but she can learn to be confident in her home and in other places she feels safe. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. She will do best in a home without children under 8 years.
(A $250 adoption donation is required.) If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out the CHEW Adoption Application you can find on our website: chewdogrescue.org/Forms.html If you have previously submitted an application form, there is no need to re-apply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. FOSTER HOMES NEEDED! We are always looking for good foster homes. Our rescue is foster based and we can always save more dogs if we have foster homes for them to go into. It is not a long term commitment. We have been able to find good forever homes in a short time. We also welcome volunteers who can help transport dogs and help with our outreach and fund raising efforts. Please contact us if you can help.
