Beau is a small, 4 yr old, neutered male, tricolored Sheltie mix weighing in at 22 pounds. He is a really loveable guy, He learns quickly, only needs to be told once, maybe twice about the "rules of the house" and understands perfectly. Beau is very anxious to please and will do anything within his power to do so. He loves his people and will be by your side no matter where you are. He walks good on a leash, gets along with other dogs, ignores cats, and will be your best friend forever.
Beau is full of energy and does demand attention, but that is all good. He loves long walks and running in the yard. He will need a very secure yard with a high fence as he is a very buoyant boy and can jump high. If you prefer not to have all the grooming that comes with a sheltie, Beau's the one for you as he has a short, smooth coat.
We don't know how well Beau will do with small children, so we are recommending children over 12yrs. They would love to teach him tricks and would have success with him. We are also looking for a home where his people are home a lot.
If you love the personality of a sheltie, that is loyalty, quick to learn, tons of fun, energetic, but are hesitant because of the maintenance/grooming factor, then Beau is the answer to your prayers. He is a smooth coat, wonderful sheltie/mix.
