My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Louie is a precious little dog. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. He is a little shy at first when he meets new people but warms up quickly and wins them over with his friendly nature. He is very social and loves people of all ages including children. Louie is a young adult dog approximately 2 - 3 years old and weighs 27 lbs.

Here is what else his foster family had to say:

As well as being affectionate and loving, Louis has impeccable manners. He is friendly with adults and children alike. He is quiet and well mannered in the home and loves to run and play when he is outside.

He is fine with other dogs and never barks at them instead just stands and looks at them as they pass on our walks. He is a little scared of cats but is warming up to accepting them as friends. Louie is fully house and crate trained although he will whine for a few minutes when I first put him in the crate but settles down pretty quickly.

Louie is fully leash trained. He does not pull at the leash. He will get playful and bite at it but will let go when you tell him to. Louie has the manners of a perfect gentleman. He may look at you while your eating but never tries to steal food. He only chews on his toys and he is not big enough to counter surf. Louie never tries to bolt out the door. He actually will wait for you to go out first then will get in front of you once you are out the door.

Louie looks healthy and happy. He is a bit skinny from being in the shelter but we are working on that and I'm sure he will gain a little weight without trouble.

Louie needs a family that loves to cuddle with him. They should have enough energy to keep up with him when he is outside. Louie loves attention and affection. He needs a family that can give that to him.

If you would like to make Louie part of your family, please submit an application for consideration.
