ABBY - ADOPTION PENDING's Story...
If you are interested in adopting Abby, please go to www.abgra.org. and submit an adoption application. If you have any questions, please contact jackie1147@gmail.com.

Sweet, pretty little Abby is friendly toward everyone and curious about everything. She gets along well with other dogs but would probably prefer to be the only lap dog in the house! She loves to be with her special person all the time and the center of attention. While she will pick her “special” person, she is loving to all in the house. She is looking for a loving home with a securely fenced yard and a family that won't leave her alone for more than a couple of hours. Abby would prefer no young children but she should do just fine with older dog savvy children.

She was born 1/3/06 and weighs just 8 lbs. She is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, heart worm negative, on preventative and micro chipped. Abby is ready for her forever home!

We prefer to place Abby within driving distance of Burneyville, OK, where she is being fostered. However, if someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must fly in to get her and she must fly home in the cabin with her new family. Under no circumstances can our dogs ever be shipped in cargo, and we do not place our dogs in homes with invisible (electric) fencing.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
American Brussels Griffon Rescue Alliance Inc. (ABGRA) came into being to meet the needs of the Brussels Griffons and Affenpinschers who are abandoned, might be abandoned, or whose circumstances we can improve. We will endeavor to accept these Griffs, regardless of their circumstance, knowing that we might be their last hope. We strive to leave no Griff behind.
We are especially mindful of the Griffs that have spent their lives in commercial breeding facilities and who will have a chance at a better life through our efforts.
ABGRA is a non-profit national rescue group founded to provide commercially bred Brussels Griffons and Affenpinschers a chance at living in a home for the first time as a pet.

Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption donations are from $200 - $350 and reflect the vetting costs incured for each dog as well as some dogs whose costs far exceed the donation.
We interview all references provided and require a home visit before placements. An adoption contract is required. If the dog is returned within 30 days, a refund will be issued. ABGRA requires adopters be 25 years old, or older, and are looking for stable permanent adoptors. In most cases, these breeds are not recommened for families with young children or for people who are not home for long periods of time. They are the perfect pet for someone who can take their dog to work with them, work from home, or are retired.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
ABGRA is a 501-c-3 non-profit national rescue group founded to provide commercially bred Brussels Griffons and Affenpinschers a chance at living in a home for the first time as a pet. We strive to leave no griff behind and rescue these breeds from city/county shelters & commercial breeding facilities when foster home space is available. We are an all volunteer foster home based rescue that provides complete vetting for our dogs prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ABBY - ADOPTION PENDING, a Burneyville Brussels Griffon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brussels Griffon for sale in Burneyville, or seeking a Brussels Griffon dog from a breeder in Burneyville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burneyville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burneyville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brussels Griffon breeders who help with Brussels Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burneyville paves the way for another one to be saved.
