Serena's Story...
Hello, my name is "Serena" and it seems to fit me pretty well, as I'm a quiet girl. I have luxurious blue or gray fur, just wonderful for petting, and the color sets off my sparkly mint-green eyes. I remained calm and posed while I was photographed. But this place is still new to me, and while I'm treated well, I'd really love to be adopted by someone who will keep me furr-ever and ever. A place where I could stretch out or run and play, then just hang out in the sunshine with you. Would you like that, too? Oh, good! I'll be waiting in Kennel #127. Bye furr now!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Serena, a El Cajon Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
