Snickers's Story...
Snickers is a 5 year old Quaker parrot. He is a little cage aggressive, but once he is out of the cage, he just loves to sit on your shoulder all day long and preen you and love on you. He is currently being converted to a better diet to include pellets with fresh vegetables and some fruits. He is fairly quiet for a Quaker and is content to just hang out with you as much as you will let him!

All birds have been properly vetted by an avian veterinarian before being placed up for adoption. Interested in adoption? Please go to our website to fill out an application and to read our adoption protocols at http://floridaparrotrescue.com/adopt-foster-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snickers, a Tampa Parakeet - Quaker was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Parakeet - Quaker for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Parakeet - Quaker from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Parakeet - Quaker breeders who help with Parakeet - Quaker rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
