Dill's Story...
Dill is about 6 months old.

On the hot streets of Houston, Dill was found along with his brother looking for food. So very thin, so little, hair loss and starving, he came to LPBR and quickly went into ICU for several weeks for Ivomectin reactions. We believe that Dill has some Australian Sheepdog in him, part because of the reaction and part his thick coat. We also believe that he may have some pitbull or even cattledog in him as well.
Whatever the mix maybe, Dill is striking in pictures and in person. He will never be allowed to have hert guard or anything that contains ivomec, but lucky for him there are other products out there for him that will keep him safe from heartworms without the hospital stays.

Right now, Dill is in a foster home. He loves to play with his foster sister Blue and together they play and have a great time. Dill also lives with some cats and he really likes to be with them too although they dont play much like his foster sister does.
Dill is house broken as much as a 6 month old pup is. He is also crate trained and up to date on his vetting. He will be getting neutered soon, but right now he is just hanging out and having fun.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dill, a Houston Australian Shepherd/American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Houston, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
