Shadow's Story...
This is Shadow. He is a lean, 76 lbs, 5 year old, male, registered Lab. He is a very happy dog, very young at heart. He was given up by his family with a heavy heart, they lost their home and had no where to go. His family found HART and now Shadow's story will continue.
Shadow was fighting a flea allergy, but now is turning this situation around. In a couple of months he will have a drop dead gorgeous black coat.
He gets along well with other dogs, he was housebroken, but will need a refresher course, no biggie. Shadow loves all people, but you will need to watch little children with his size.
Shadow is microchipped, neutered & up to date on his shots & vaccines. Please complete an online application at www.rescueahart.org if you'd like to meet him. Thanks!

Come meet Shadow, you can't help falling in love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Cincinnati Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
