Baby Di's Story...
Baby Di is an adorable gray and white tuxedo kitten. Quiet and sweet, she was born in March 2012 to a recently rescued super-sweet mommy cat this spring in Washington, DC. A nice man found the lovely kitty outside, took her in, and very soon she had kittens! Four little gray and white kittens took over his little apartment, and Baby Di and her three siblings had fun eating, playing, and showing mom cat she made the right decision by “adopting” the nice man!

He has a friend who is a 4Paws volunteer, so he knew they would all get wonderful homes. That’s where you come in! The kittens are ready to go to new homes, and he is keeping their mother. Baby Di and her siblings are just as sweet as their mommy cat, and are all playful and gentle. Di loves to play with other gentle kittens, especially her brother Bruno, the other tuxedo kitten. They love to bounce around, and also watch TV!

Baby Di is up to date on her vaccinations and tests negative for FIV/FeLV. Now she just needs a loving home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby Di, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
