Willy's Story...
Willy, pictured here on his favorite fuzzy blanket, is a two year old piggy (born in 2010). He is very social and sweet. Willy very much enjoys yummy treats such as green peppers, romaine, carrot and craisins. In January 2012, Willy had a fall which resulted in a fractured leg. Today, Willy gets around just fine and is as active as ever. He understandably is not fond of being picked up unless wrapped in his blanket securely, but will snuggle on laps. Willy craves attention and is very social but is very frightened of young children. He would much prefer a home with older children/adults that can give him lots of attention and room to explore and play!
Willy's adoption fee is $15. More more info on adopting Willy please contact us. Adopters must be at least 18 years of age.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willy, a Grand Rapids Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
