My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You there – Coco Bird here! My foster mom also has a dog named Coco. Pretty innovative, don’t you think? Not too sure how old I am – but I came into rescue very sick. The vet actually thought something was really wrong with me, but after a lot of testing and 4 months of rehab with my foster family, I have gained strength, weight and am growing my feathers back. The vet says it turned out I just really needed the right diet with lots of sunshine, baths and lots of love from my fosters! I was also very anemic when I first came to rescue and had shed all my feathers, but some good antibiotics cleared all that up and as you can see, I’m looking good, even if I say so myself! I do like to say my name and I coo like a dove and also make sounds like a police car or fire engine, and I chirp and whistle when I’m happy. I love gentle head scratches and am very curious (you can see my butt when I’m checking out Sooz’s purse). I prefer the woman of the house, but I will also step up for Dean and I don’t show any aggressive behavior! Foraging toys are a favorite, as are grapes.
