Cody's Story...
Meet Cody, he and his sister Connie were dropped into one of our fosters laps when their previous owners no longer had the time for them. Cody is a fearful little guy, he only weighs around 9 lbs and slowly progressing in his new foster home. All he wants is to snuggle in his owners lap all day and not stress about being trampled or bitten by other dogs. He would do great as an only dog or with other females in his new home where he can be lavished with affection. We will never truly know Cody's past but we do know that with love and time this boy will make someone very happy. Will you be Cody's someone and give him the forever home he deserves?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cody, a Scottsdale Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
