Minnie's Story...
Minnie is a sweet little 8-month-old female orange tabby kitten with white. She was rescued at a young age with her siblings who have all been adopted. Since then, she has been raised in a foster home with other cats and kittens. She is very friendly and affectionate with people and loves to play HARD with other kittens. Even with all her energy, though, she loves to be held and pet. Minnie has tested positive for Feline Leukemia, so she will need an indoor home and may need special care in the future. She can be adopted into a home with other Feline Leukemia positive cats or you can talk to your vet about bringing her into a home with healthy, vaccinated cats. She is litterbox trained and has already been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for fleas. The adoption fee is $40 and helps us help more cats. She may be a special kitty, but she is enjoying life and has more life to live. Please contact Barb at barb@parkerpaws.org if you'd like to be her hero.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minnie, a Weatherford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
