Pamela's Story...
September 21, 2012: Pamela came to me a very frightened little girl. She was found in a field with her three puppies, alone and frightened, no owners to be found. Her three puppies thankfully were adopted, but poor Pamela was left at the shelter.

Pamela has warmed up significantly, but still is a bit skittish. She loves attention and particularly loves to be hugged and held. She seems to be housetrained and has done well on a leash. She gets along swimmingly with my three crazy dogs, who are all seniors, but have since reverted to puppy stage since Pamela has arrived. They run around the house like maniacs, throw toys around and just have a fantastic time playing with each other. Her little nubby tail wags wildly when you come home and she gets so excited at the thought of eating and treats. She is absolutely beautiful also, with a black coat with white feet.

Pamela needs a home that will understand that she will need time to warm up to people. A more experienced home would be ideal because she will have accidents if frightened, and she is likely to be frightened at first.

It is crystal clear to me that Pamela, once she knows for sure she is safe and loved, will blossom into the best pet ever.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pamela, a Wilmington Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
