Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please note that Tiny Paws will be taking a break from adoption processing from December 17, 2012 through January 4, 2013. The holiday season is a very busy time of year with lots of hustle and bustle that can add extra stress to a dog’s transition to a new home. We also would like to give our hardworking volunteers time to enjoy the holiday season with friends and family. Thank you for your understanding.
Peppy's adoption fee is $250.
Peppy is a Toy Fox Terrier, neutered, up to date with vaccines and micro chipped. He weighs approximately 11 pounds and just celebrated his 9th birthday, but has the energy and enthusiasm of a dog half his age. He likes nothing more than to sit on your knee and let you scratch his ears but his very favourite thing is going for a walk or playing in the yard. He just can’t get enough of being outside, but he does need to be leashed or in a fenced yard because exploring the neighbourhood is a game that never gets old!
Peppy gets along very well with other small dogs and appears to have no issues with strangers. There's a cat in his foster home and he has accepted her, though in a new home with a cat they will need to be monitored initially. Peppy will let you know if someone is at the door or if the squirrels get too close to the house, but otherwise he’s a fairly quiet fellow, good natured, house trained and crate trained. He had 10 teeth extracted when he came into rescue, but he’s fully recovered and eating well. He will often sleep under the bed, but if he is on the bed, he snuggles right in beside you and doesn`t move. Peppy would be an ideal companion for someone living alone or retired, with the time to devote to nurturing his wonderful spirit.
