Raven's Story...
Raven is an 8 month old (as of March 1, 2013) female Labrador Retriever. She had a very rough start in life, but through it all she was always a happy puppy and her tail is always wagging. She loves to be around people. She gets along great with the other dogs at the shelter, and has just a wonderful, sweet, affectionate personality. She does have a little problem sitting still for pictures!

Raven has been spayed and is current on her immunizations. If you would like to make Raven a member of your family, please contact Gail Ross at 870-431-8229, or via email at gailspets@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raven, a Oakland Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
