Sonya's Story...
Sonya is very upset with me for using this picture... she wanted me to wait until she was feeling a little more up to pictures but we decided that we might as well post it in case her forever home was out there looking for her! Sonya is a very beautiful and very pregnant 1 1/2 year old baby who was brought to animal control to be euthanized, even though she is about to give birth! She has the most loving and laid back personality personality. Sonya adores any kind of attention and will rub her head and whole body all over you trying to soak up the love. Sonya like to be held and purrs all the time! Sonya will follow you around and would simply like to be wherever you are! Sonya will obviously not be available for adoption for another 8 weeks or so but if you are interested in this wonderful mommy, please e-mail or Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonya, a Atlanta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
