Hello! My name is Elijah! I am a 5 yr old, Male, Cocker Spaniel. I have had quite a journey since the day I was rescued by The PRC. I was almost euthanized at OC Shelter for medical problems that could not be funded. I had ear infections so badly and for so long that my ear canals were closed from swelling and calcification. The Dr.’s at The PRC knew that I was going to need TECA surgeries for both. I was so extremely lucky to have the public come together and support me by raising the 4,000 dollars it took to have these surgeries done. My ears are now fixed and I will not be having another ear infection again. My spirits are very bright and I am the happiest boy now. I would love to find a new home to start my new life in. I am great with other dogs, cats and kids. I am a big cuddle bug so I need someone who loves hugs and belly rubs. Please come meet me and see just why I am so special to The Pet Rescue Center.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adoptapet.html. Completed applications can be faxed to 949-768-5759 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
