Coal's Story...
I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!! THANK YOU TO BRENNAN AND JOHN. I have a wonderful life ahead of me!

Little Coal was found outside 1 evening looking for food near a major road. He suffered injuries to his jaw from what the vets believe was an injury sustained from being thrown out of a car. He has since received surgery so he can properly eat and also has been neutered. The 2nd picture shows the bar that was put in place by the vets while his jaw was healing. It has since been removed. Its hard to believe that this little guy is as friendly as he is considering the fact that someone could have actually done such a thing to him. He is a playful little sweetheart who will cuddle with you and doesn't mind sharing the bed with you at night. This little guy deserves an extra special home with a family who will consider him part of the family and never let anything bad happen in his life again! He is 1 fortunate little fellow to have lived and been found and brought to safety.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coal, a Chesterfield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chesterfield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chesterfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chesterfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chesterfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chesterfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
