Cinder's Story...
Cinder is a friendly little guy looking for a new home. His owner had to give him up recently and was going to take him to the pound. Fortunately, we were able to get him rather than him being sent off to the pound where we know he would not have made it out. Too many kittens this year! Cinder is a sweetheart and gets along great in his foster home with the other foster kitties. He loves to play and is a purring machine. Cinder is actually grey and white, not just white. He is neutered, has rabies, and is FIV/Feluk negative. Just waiting for that special family to take him home. He is already wanting to be a lap kitty and sits in his foster mom's lap when she is working at the computer. He loves to be with people and will lay beside foster mom's daughter when she plays video games.

About Our Rescue Group...
We have been rescuing cats for over 20 years and working with and also helping to start other rescue groups. We now have a cat sanctuary for those hard to place cats from working with other groups and those rescued from feral colonies or abandoned by their owners. We hope to find permanent homes for them as we work with them or they will have a lifetime home forever at our sanctuary. We do not euthanize any cat just because it is not adoptable. We are pending our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization status. Donations welcome of any amount, item, food, etc. We are always in need of donated food, canned food, litter, etc. Monetary donations always welcome.
Our Adoption Process...

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cinder, a South Chesterfield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in South Chesterfield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in South Chesterfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South Chesterfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South Chesterfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South Chesterfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
