Gigi's Story...
Gigi is an adorable female kitten rescued from a kill shelter. She is the most playful kitten we met in a long time (yes, we know all kittens are playful but Gigi is special!). She loves to puff herself up so she looks twice her size and walk sideways on her toenails and scare other kittens and even adult cats..... but nobody is taking her seriously. I wonder why? Maybe because she is the loudest purrer especially when she is getting her belly rubbed?

We want Gigi to have a furry friend in her new home. Unless you already have a cat, kitten or a cat loving dog please consider adopting two kittens!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gigi, a Brooklyn American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
