My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elmer is on his last days at an animal control facility in Minnesota. We would like to help save him but do not currently have a foster for him. We are posting him here to increase his exposure in hopes that someone will see his beautiful face and want to take him home. Elmer is a GOOD BOY and deserves a good home. If you are interested in adopting/fostering him please email us ASAP so we can pull him and vet him.

If Elmer is sucessfully adopted he will go into his new home with a collar, harness and a full bag of dog food. Elmer is a big, handsome American Bulldog boy. He is about 70 lbs and is intact. He is around 1.5 yrs old.


Elmer absolutely loves playing with toys! So far he likes to tease you rather than give the toy back, or play tug with it. But, he does eventually give it up so you can throw it again. Elmer seems to be a quick learner. He knows how to sit, and was picking up on shake really quickly. He definitely needs work on leash walking, but he wants to please. With a stash of treats, he'll learn fast.


Elmer did well on his dog tests. When other dogs walk past his kennel he will bark, but it's because he wants to get out and play. He was nice walking past all the other dogs.
