Hello, friends! My name is Gizzy and I am looking for a place to call home forever. My "sister" Shadow (also available for adoption through Finding Shelter) and I were living with our elderly, human dad on his farm. It was just the three of us and we spent all day with him. It was pretty great. But our dad got really sick with Leukemia. He knew that he was not going to get better but was so worried about us. We came to Finding Shelter as the first two dogs in the Finding Peace program, a special program designed to help animals who need a place to go when their humans get sick. Anyway, we moved into our awesome foster home and recently heard that our former human dad passed away. It was so sad, but he felt better knowing that we would be safe. I would love to find a home with my sister Shadow. I just love to be with my people. I follow my foster mom around the house and cry when she leaves. Finding someone who is retired or works from home or can take me to work with them would be splendid! When you do leave and then come home, I will welcome you by sitting up and waving to you. I have mastered the trick and show off my talent all of the time. Basically, I am a snugly and sweet girl who cannot wait to move into a loving home where I can stay forever. I will show you every day how thankful I am that you chose me and think that I am special.
