Here's what the humans have to say about me:
2.5 year-old Yellow Lab
Neutered Male
Up to date on all his shots
Avid Microchip
Crate and Potty trained
To look at “Splash” is to love him, as he has all the desirable features of a “typical Lab!” Unfortunately, prior to entering our training program he was returned to the shelter because he was “too active.” Our best guess is that his original owner bought him because he was a beautiful Lab puppy, but never spent any time training or playing with him. He was probably just thrown outside to fend for himself and figure it out.
We named this wonderful dog “Splash” because of his LOVE of water! Initially he would love to dig the water out of his water bowl, and roll around in the grass. When given the chance, he loves to swim in pools and outdoor lakes and ponds and is an excellent exercise partner.
The past month, Splash has been living with one of our trainers as we wanted to evaluate and reinforce his good house manners. He’s learned all his basic obedience skills and does well with other dogs.
He would do best in a home with older children and with a family that likes outdoor activities and wants a dog to enjoy them with them. He would make an awesome running partner.
