Nobody doesn't like Sara Lee! Yes, the saying is true....everyone loves me! I am happy, loyal, loving and I LOVE to play with toys. I share really well and I love other dogs and especially humans! I am very smart and they think that I was born right at the beginning of August. My mama was a purebred lab and my dad was a Mountain Cur. They say that one of those looks like a big lab! The family that had us couldn't find us homes and because we were "accidents" we ended up at the kill shelter. Thankfully the rescue is showing our pictures to all these nice people that will hopefully adopt us soon! Pooches & Purrs Cooperative is a group of rescues and individual rescuers that are working hard to find loving homes for the dogs, cats, kittens and puppies that find their way into our care through no fault of their own. Each individual or group has several wonderful dogs In Tennessee, Alabama or Kentucky looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $450 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm preventative as well as their transportation to your area.

Our rescues don't have an actual shelter building in the New England area. Due to this it is not always possible to meet them prior to their adoption. At times, a dog may be in foster care in New England and their bio will clearly be marked as such. These southern dogs & cats are brought up to their new owners weekly! We have a 14 day money back guarantee and the pet can be rehomed appropriately if things don't work out. Each group tries hard to get good matches in your homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date the cooperative has placed over a two thousand dogs and puppies, cats and kittens in loving New England homes! Each group has many, many, references of happy adopters up in your area that can fill you in on their experience. Just email and they can pass along that information for your convenience.

We require an application, interview, reference check, home visit and adoption contract in order to place a pooch in your home!
