Doxie-lovers behold!! Jackson is a handsome purebred Dachshund who was found frantic on a busy Arkansas road, apparently having been cruelly dumped in traffic. Thankfully a kind passerby stopped to help the frightened boy, and now lucky Jackson has landed in a loving foster home who is assuring him everything will be alright. Jackson is a gentle companion - - submissive with others and enjoys being held. There are other dogs at the foster home and Jackson considers every one a friend. He might be small at just nearly 17 pounds, but he's got a big personality with lots of love to give - - he just needs that family to give it to!! Jackson is about 2 years old, healthy, neutered and housetrained with a doggie door (what a bonus!). If you can promise to keep safe for the rest of his life, please visit www.pinkshelter.com for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting AND neuter included in his $300 adoption fee. Jackson is in Arkansas and transport fee is additional $140. IF YOU HAVE AOL or YAHOO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FILE FOR OUR RESPONSE.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

*Jackson - PENDING, a Westport Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Westport, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
