Duke's Story...
Check out his video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9PS4DqG40U

Duke was born approx March 2011. He was rescued from the shelter as owner surrender. The shelter listed him Great Dane and Lab mix but we think there is pit bull terrier too. He is an amazingly fun and goofy dog. He gets along with all dogs and of all sizes. He is 80 lbs of goofy and doesn't realize his size as he will happily sit in your lap. He loves to play with a tennis ball and is very athletic. He will fetch and return the ball endlessly! He needs a large yard or lots of exercise and high fences, as he is quite the jumper. He would make a great running partner as he is great on leash and has the energy for it!! No small kids recommended. NO cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Simi Valley Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Simi Valley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Simi Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Simi Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Simi Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Simi Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
