Sophia's Story...
Sophia is about 1 1/2 - 2 years young , 18 lbs, blonde Cocker Spaniel mix (we think with Cavalier). For a young gal, Sophia has already been through quite a bit.

Eight months ago, Sophia was hit by a car and virtually left untreated. Her left hind leg has nerve damage so she wears a cute shoe on her paw as it drags behind her. However, she gets along splendidly and doesn't even know she's different from the other dogs! She still loves to go on walks and hang out with her foster siblings.

Sophia is a bit shy at first but warms up very quickly and will give you a big smile and wag her tail like a metronome. She loves to get scratched behind her ears and curl up on your lap. Sophia is crate trained and would be a wonderful K9 companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophia, a Los Angeles Cocker Spaniel/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
