Benji's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Benji's Story...

Benji is a 6 year old, 20 pound, purebred Shih-Tzu who found his way to Lovebugs Rescue when his owner sadly passed away. Despite the loss of his beloved doggie mommy, Benji is a sweet, friendly boy and he is eager to find someone special to devote his companionship to.

Benji is adapting very well to his new environment and has been a perfect gentleman in his foster home. He gets along well with other dogs, is doing excellent with his potty routine and is embracing his new diet and exercise regiment. Because this little darling LOVES to eat, Benji’s ideal home will need to be committed to continuing the effort to help him on his journey toward physical fitness.

Our adoption fee for Benji is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccines, grooming, treatment for fleas and worms and best of all, lots of love and socialization in his foster home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benji, a Irvine Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Irvine, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Irvine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Irvine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Irvine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Irvine paves the way for another one to be saved.
