Peabody's Story...
Wow! – Is it just me or does everything look really big?

I’m Peabody and I was just born August 1, so I’m pretty new here. My brother Pickle, my sister Paisley and I were found near the Channel 5 Broadcast Studios when we were really little. Our real mom was too scared to come with us, so our foster mom had to feed us with bottles for awhile. We’re onto this eating out of a bowl thing really well now, and we use our litterbox too. We’ve all been off to see the doctor for something called neutering and shots (that wasn’t what I was expecting), and now I’m ready to go to my forever home where I can continue with my favorite stuff – playing, sleeping and eating. Oh yeah…I also like kids, other cats, and dogs – even real big ones if they’re nice.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peabody, a Scottsdale Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
