Checkers's Story...
Let’s play a game! I LOVE games! What do you win? How about a date with adorable little me?! Then everyone is a winner! We could play tag, hide-n-seek, Chutes and Ladders, or….. that’s right; Checkers!!! I have been described as a rambunctious little scamp and I think that fits. I just like to have a good time! I love some lap time, some cuddle time or some play time in the back yard! Whatever you’re up for I am down! I enjoy playing with other dogs and if ya got cats at home we can even play with them, the more the merrier! So if you need a little game time for those lonely nights, add me to your game plan! 14 months old-18lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Checkers, a Portland Boston Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Boston Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
