This dog's fosterhome is located in: Bulls Gap, Tennessee

Hello, my name is Remington Steele but my family calls me Remi. I’m about 2-3 years old. When Ratbone rescued me from the shelter I was starving, scared to death, and had a bullet hole in my chest! But my new fostermom took care of me and my wounds healed and I’m gaining weight. I am completely housetrained and I never tear up anything. My foster mom says I’m a “donut dog” because any time you try to pat me, I bend in two so you can pet my tail and my nose at the same time! I’ve never met a stranger and love to get petted from everyone. But I am a very timid boy and would love to live in a home without other dogs (or with only one or two). I don’t mind cats and am good with children of all ages. I would love to find a forever home where I can feel safe and loved. Am I the boy for you?

OUR ADOPTION FEE is $150 ($175 for puppies younger than 6 months; $200 for American Hairless Terriers).

IS THIS DOG AVAILABLE? If the bio above doesn't say that there's an adoption pending, then YES! he or she IS available. As soon as we approve an application, we'll post it, so you will NOT get more current info by emailing us to ask if the dog is available. To "get in line" to adopt or get more details, you MUST CLICK HERE to submit an Adoption Application.

The email address on this page is for website-related issues ONLY. For answers to specific questions about a particular dog, you MUST submit an Adoption Application! That is the only way to access the fosterparent for this particular dog, who is the only person who can answer specifics about this dog's personality or geographic
location. (Our dogs are located in private fosterhoms around the state, and we do not provide those addresses on the Internet or to casual inquiries, and you cannot just "drop by" to see a dog without prearranging it with the fosterhome.) Because we are an all-volunteer organization and receive a very high volume of inquiries, we can only respond personally to people who have demonstrated a serious interest in adoption by filling out our application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Remington Steele, a Antioch Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Antioch, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Antioch.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Antioch already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Antioch breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Antioch paves the way for another one to be saved.
