Dwight's Story...
Hi my name is Dwight. I am a 4 year 3 month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and the most handsomest one on the planet, I might add, who is looking for my forever home. I was rescued by Paws 4 Humanity Inc from the Jacksonville ACPS and was placed 3 months later in wonderful home. I was called Dollar at the time and was with who I thought was my forever family for about one year. I adored my new family. Then after one night when my pet parents were rolling in the hay there was a baby on the way. All of a sudden my dad landed a great job and my family didn't have time for me as there was a newborn baby on the way and my dad's job had him working a lot of hours. So they surrendered me back to Paws 4 Humanity Inc and asked "Please find Dwight a great forever home as he is such a good dog and so deserves a wonderful home."

I like walks and treats, I like to play with squeaky toys, and I am even trained to balance treats on my nose and catch them in mid-air! I also know many basic tricks (sit, stay, come when called, lay and leave it) I like to be challenged. I need a lot of mental and physical exercise because I get bored easily. One thing you should know is I need a home without small children (under 4 years old) and prefer to be an only dog in my new family as I want all of the love and attention that I can get.

I am such a fun all around happy boy and would really like to show you just how much of a lover that I really am. I o well around dogs that are my size and really enjoy being around my humans. I am a little afraid and apprehensive around newborn children as I don't know how to play with them. If I can tell you a secret the newborn babies look like little martians or bobble heads to me!

If you are interested in meeting yours truly and taking me home forever please contact Paws 4 Humanity Inc and request an adoption application which is the first step in their adoption process. Once your adoption application is approved you will then be able to meet yours truly and see for yourself what a handsome, well mannered stud muffin that I really am. My loving personality and handsome good looks will undoubtedly pull at your heartsrings where you can't resist but want to take me home forever. I look forward to meeitng you and showing off all of my commands and tricks that I know. Most important I will share with you all of the love and kisses that I have to give. See you soon! Love and kisses - Dwight.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dwight, a Orange Park Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Orange Park, or seeking a Corgi dog from a breeder in Orange Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orange Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orange Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orange Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
