My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Madison and I am perhaps the kindest, most polite bulldog on the planet. I am about eight years old and I have been spayed.

I have been in a foster home for a month or so and my life improved considerably. When I arrived I had skin and ear infections and some puffiness around my gorgeous eyes. The people who kept me before I met the fosters fed me well enough as I was perhaps a little overweight. I’m down to about 42 lbs now and I feel better. The Vet likes my slim hourglass shape. She can feel my ribs and see my waist.

The fosters put me on a special diet of hypoallergenic dog food made by Royal Canin, it’s not cheap but my allergies seem to have completely cleared. To keep me lean and trim they supplement this with green beans for breakfast and carrots at dinner. I get raw carrots as treats.

The fosters have four other dogs, three pesky highly mobile pugs and a male bulldog called Diesel. I love these guys and they seem to love me. I can’t promise that I will get along with all the dogs on the planet because I’m sure one or two will cause some angst but I certainly like my foster family.

I have this ability to whimper a little and perhaps whine quite quietly and then if attention is not given I can bark loudly with the best of them. I like to fold my bed in half and sleep on top of the fold. My fosters think this is funny. I would like to be adopted by someone who is home all day as I thrive on company even though I sleep through most of it. In the evenings I like to sit in my foster Mom’s lap and watch TV. It sometimes gets crowded on her little lap when 2 of the pugs and Diesel climb up too. I even get to sleep on the bed with the whole family.

The fosters tell me that I have some scarring in my ears probably because of years of neglect and many infections. Every night I stay perfectly still and don’t complain while my ears are cleaned and if necessary, antibiotics squirted in. I seem to enjoy the attention.

Remember, if you adopt me, I will expect regular care of my ears and I expect that I’ll need special hypoallergenic food for the rest of my life.

My adoption fee is $200.
