Sienna's Story...
"Hi everybody....I am SIENNA, and I am an eight-year-old terrier mix dog who needs a new forever home. I enjoy going for walks, and I am extremely friendly and sweet. I am over the top in love with people! I get along great with other dogs, so I'd be pleased to have another dog to pal around with in my new home. My hair is short, so you know that it would be extremely easy to take care of. I enjoy getting brushed with a nice, soft brush, because I know that it keeps my beautiful coat looking its best. Every night when it is quiet here at the shelter, that is a very special time, because that is when all of us share our hopes and dreams with each other about finding a new forever home. Being on the small side, I would only need a smallish yard where I could get some exercise. I'd love to have a comfy and snuggly bed in the house so that I could always be close to my person or family. Because I'm a "Super Senior," MY ADOPTION FEE IS ONLY $30! That fee includes my microchip, along with a free visit at one of our local vets. A trip to our shelter wouldn't be complete until you have met me, so just ask one of our very kind Shelter Staff to introduce you to SIENNA, one of the sweetest little dogs that you will ever meet. I'll be watching and waiting for you, and also listening for the sound of your footsteps near my kennel, and then I will know for sure that you have come to get acquainted with me. We are the Animal Shelter for the City of El Cajon. We also house animals for the City of La Mesa. We take in strays and animals relinquished by their owners from these two City's only. We adopt out the animals that are not claimed by their owners. You do not have to live within the City to adopt an animal from us. We sometimes have animals other than dogs and cats.

We are located in the City of El Cajon which is east of San Diego. 1275 N. Marshall is two blocks north of Fletcher Parkway, Marshall runs parallel with the trolley tracks.

We are open Tuesday thru Saturday 10am to 5pm. The latest we start an adoption is 4:30. We are closed Sundays and Mondays.
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption fee for dogs is $80.00 and cats are $80.00 All other animal adoption fee's are based on the type of animal.

We do an evaluation with you and the animal to be sure that it is the best animal for you. We require that all children in the household under 9 years old be evaluated with the animal and if you are adopting a dog and you currently own a dog, your dog needs to be evaluated with the new dog to be sure they get along.
