for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Sam's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Sam's Story...
Sam loves kids, and other dogs, especially small ones for some reason. He is very playful, but gentle, he has never played too rough with my toy breeds. I'm not sure how Sam is with cats, we don't have any. He hasn't shown aggression when passing ones at the vet office, just curiousity. Sam enjoys riding in the cars. He can heel, and will come when called. He is around 1 or 2 and 50 lbs. He has three legs, due to his rough start in life, but does fine, and when you see him run, you would never know.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Portsmouth Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portsmouth, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portsmouth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portsmouth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portsmouth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portsmouth paves the way for another one to be saved.
