Dahlia's Story...
Dahlia is THE cutest 3 yr old 9 lb Yorkie/Chihuahua mix (Chorkie?) rescued from a rural county shelter. She was surrendered by her owners who said they could no longer care for her. Sadly she was at the shelter for weeks before we found out about her and took her in. She is so very sweet and so much cuter in person. She has now been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and chipped. All she needs is a loving forever home. Dahlis is a tad on the shy side with new folks but not at all aggressive - just a little unsure. Because of her shyness, we think she will do best in a home with no small children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dahlia, a Woodstock Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Woodstock, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Woodstock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woodstock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woodstock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woodstock paves the way for another one to be saved.
